Lindon, Utah
Lindon is a town along the Wasatch Front in Utah County. The area was settled in 1861 with the land being used for grazing. The town originally bore the name "String Town" as the area was sparsely populated and homes were strung along a rural route.
The town was named Lindon in 1901 after a Linden tree by a person who did not know how to spell. The town was incorporated in 1924. The town had grown to 10,070 by teh 2010 census. The zip code is 84042.
