Granite Seed

Granite Seed (also known as "a pebble") is a company from Lehi that produces seed mixes for reclamation projects and erosion control. The company has seed mixes from a variety of climate zones throughout the United States.

I am happy to see the site focusing primarily on providing native plant species (minux noxious weeds). Previous attempts to control erosion by importing exotic plants have resulted in ecological disaster.

The site offers a project planner to assist in reclamation projects. You will also find planting guides, a noxious weed list and a list of seed varieties offered. The Name Game guide provides information on the changing classifications of plants that is occuring as scientists uncover new genetic relations between plant species.
