Blue Host is a leading, reliable discount web host from Utah Valley. Blue Host offers internationally competitive rates and service with local servers and is the ideal webhost for Utah businesses.

Bluehost offers basic hosting and cloud hosting. The basic hosting service uses a CPU throttling system to cap resource intensive sites.

I've used Blue Host for my photo site since 2006. The site uses PHP and MySQL and has experienced up to 10GB a month in traffic with only a few minor periods of downtime. Despite the fact that I use some hefty queries I rarely experience throttling. NOTE: I use the GD Library to make thumbnails from pictures which average 200MB. If I make more than 100 thumbnails in single call, I will get a throttling warning, but I've never seen it for normal use.

This is a dynamic data driven site with complex SQL queries and large image files. Bluehost delivers hundreds of of thousand hits multiple gigabytes of images each month without a hitch (My previous host kept crashing).

The CPANEL controls are easy to use and navigate and I've been able to add and remove domains with very little problem.

In 2010. BlueHost was purchased by Endurance International Group Holdings (NASDAQ: EIGI) of Burlington, Ma. EIGI owns HostGator and provides cloud based services. Bluehost continues to maintain its headquarters in Provo and primary data centers on the Wasatch Front.
